They face greater pressures and more challenging problems. More and more parents and children are trying to adjust to the often traumatic changes brought on by separation and divorce. Families rely on us for help in addressing many concerns, or to cope with stressful life events such as: physical, emotional or sexual abuse; alcohol and substance abuse; job-related stress; death of a loved one; or parenting difficulties. Our Services Include: Individual, family, couple and group therapy Support groups for fathers Divorce adjustment services Family mediation and consultation Parenting workshops Consultation and referrals Family Life Education Educational workshops on communication, assertiveness skills, codependency, effective parenting skills, stress/anxiety management, conflict management, loss of a partner, substance abuse, and step families. Consultation and referrals Parents Apart - a five hour, court approved education program designed to assist parents in helping children through divorce.
